About Southlake montessori
Our Story
At Southlake Montessori, we are passionate about providing authentic, high-quality Montessori education to all children. Our story began with a desire to make Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) education accessible to families looking for this education for their child(ren) We believe that education is a powerful tool that can transform lives and create positive change in the world.
Our Mission and Our Vision
Mission: "To provide a premier, not-for-profit AMI Montessori program that fosters the unique academic, social and personal development of each student and motivates them for a lifetime of learning and success."

An understanding of the child's development allows Montessori environments to meet the needs of the Toddler and foster a sense of belonging, independence, and language acquisition enabling children to feel able and capable. The Toddler level focuses on:

The needs of the developing Elementary child are different from those of the Primary-aged child. These changes are reflected in the environment prepared for them and the balance of freedom and responsibility seen in a Montessori classroom.

Opportunities to experience real-world leadership, choice, problem-solving and cooperative group work are evident.
Our AMI Montessori curriculum can be mapped to, and often surpasses, the Common Core Standards in education recognized by many states across the nation.Elementary students work in the following curriculum areas:

In addition, the Elementary Going-Out Program meets the developmental need of these students to explore their role in the world around them by giving them experiences outside of the classroom.

Children can arrive at school as early as 7:30 a.m. for no fee.
Our Extended Care is available on either a regularly scheduled or drop-in basis. Hours are 3:30 p.m. to 5p.m.
